Featuring the amazing wildlife of the Serengeti Plain, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara National Park, the welcoming warmth of the Tanzanian people, and the photography skills and African experience of international travel and wildlife photographer William Cowger.

Experience the amazing natural wonders of the Serengeti and all of it’s intimate wildlife viewing opportunities with a special difference. You get to do it with international travel and wildlife photographer William Cowger. Having been there multiple times each year, Mr. Cowger knows where and when to go in this vast wilderness to maximize the experience for photographers and observers alike. Witness the daily drama of “survival of the fittest” in an ecosystem that supports millions of mammals and countless birds much as it did 20,000 years ago.

Improve your photography skills with hands on assistance and informal photography workshops lead by Mr. Cowger. Suitable for all levels of photographic experience (or just plain observation), the photo workshops invite questions and encourage trying different techniques and experimentation with the light we are dealt each day.

Observers and photographers alike get a concentrated education on wildlife management and animal behaviors from our accompanying naturalist guides who’s incredible eyes and wealth of knowledge significantly enrich the experience. We travel with a maximum of 4 people in 4WD vehicles that seat 8, a roof that pops up for shade from the hot sun, a full 360 degree view, a seat for each person and another seat for their photography gear. Mr. Cowger will rotate vehicles daily to offer photography assistance.  We spend each night in comfortable safari lodges and camps that provide opportunity to charge batteries, clean gear, relax and enjoy our beautiful surroundings. Africa and its unpredictable wildlife make each day a new adventure that never ceases to amaze.

The photo safari will also help the poor yet safe and peaceful nation of Tanzania.  Responsible tourism is crucial to their economic development   Unlike many African nations, Tanzania has never had problems with tribal warfare, revolts, nor attacks against tourists.  The local touring company is a Tanzanian family run business that has been guiding safaris for 30 years.

Fly from Detroit to Tanzania (as easy as Detroit, Amsterdam, Kilimanjaro). Stay in comfortable and ecologically oriented accommodations. Travel with no more than 4 passengers in specially outfitted 8 passenger 4WD vehicles with a pop-up roof that provide a 360 degree view and shade from the hot sun.  Learn about the animals, birds, ecology, geology, and history from the specially trained English speaking guides.

If the selected dates do not work for you, our experience with the Serengeti is so extensive that we would love to set up a custom safari for you that will meet ALL your expectations.  Our relationship with our Tanzanian partners assures us that your trip will be a lifetime highlight. Special rates are available for groups of 6 or more.
